Journal of the day, 10th of september 2012

in the beginning of the week my schedule for the lecturer is full, and well it’s Monday so you can imagine how lazy it feels..

but i won’t grumble about it any further, because honestly, it is a beautiful Monday, hwehehehe

my first lecturer of the day is “Ilmu resep I”, but since the lecturer have a misscommunication about the schedule, it’s empty. At 8 o clock i’ve got “biofarmasetika” by mr. Suwaldi. It still about the introduction. Honestly i think this subject is similar with “farmakokinetika”, a subject that i already got at the third semester. But it is a little bit different, biopharmacetic learn about the relation between the phyical and chemical properties of drugs with bioavailibility, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodinamic and its toxicological effect. So, pharmacokinetic is a part of it.

Then i’ve got “pelayanan farmasi” by mr.Satibi . since i want to take clinical and community pharmacy, i think i have to learn this subject well. And because i think my communication skill is not really good, i think this subject is important (well, every subject is important, isn’t it?), hahaha. Mr.Satibi  talked about a lot of things. He showed us some prescription and told us about what we have to explain to the patient related with the drugs.

1.       Simvastatin (anticholesterol) and HCT(hidrochlorotiazide,diuretic agent)

Simvastatatin is best to take at night, or when we take a nap, because that’s the time when cholesterol is made. While it’s better to avoid take HCT at night because it can interfere our time to sleep ( wants to pee).

2.       Ciprofloxacin(antibiotic) and zegace(vitamin)

These two drug have and interaction. It will form a complex so its absorption blocked.

About 1 o’clock i learned about pharmacoeconomic. We  have to give the most effective medication while consider its cost too.

Pharmacotherapy for today was empty. So i could go back at about 2 p.m. hehehe.. i think it’s my journal of the day. There’s nothing really special about today. Just an usual, but beautiful Monday. See you tomorrow J
