Life as a chromatography system

Have you ever heard about chromatography? If you learn about anything related to chemical analysis i thought you know it well. If i can say life as a chromathography system, then us(people) is the analit, the mobile phase is our desire, motivation and effort, and the stationary phase is the past, regret and lazyness.

Chromatography is a separation procedure to separate the multicomponent chemical compound into its monocompound based on its distribution diferrence  in 2 immiscible phase. That 2 phases are mobile phase and stationary phase.  The analit will taken along by the mobile phase. There are many separation mechanism of chromatography. One of them is adsorption. It depend on interaction between the analit with mobile phase and stationary phase. If the bound of analit-mobile phase is stronger, then analit will be brought and could have a farther move. In the opposite, if analit-stationary phase bound is stronger, then the analit like to stay in stationary phase so it won’t really move in the plate.

If it difficult too understand what i mean of chromatography then just see the picture below. Imagine if you drop ink in a piece of paper. Than you dip its tip in the water. Let the capilarity makes the paper wet. And you will see the black ink will separate into any color across the paper. They separate because every colour has a different time to migrate across the paper according into their characteristic. The mobile phase is water, and the stationary phase is paper.

Back into life as chromatography. Forgive me if i’m wrong. I just want to  associate this life as the chromatography system. People, if they always see the past, feel regret, and lazy all the time, they will stuck. They won’t move on. Just like an analite that really like the stationary phase, have a strong bound with it, their Rf(retardation factor) will be small. Even if they start in same time with the other that have a strong motivation and effort, they will left behind. In the opposite, people, if they taken along by their effort ,will go through a farther distance, their Rf in chromatography is bigger too.

Every people is unique. Everyone is different. It means everyone has their own Rf in the life. Just like chemical compound which have their specific Rf in a certain system. But people, under certain system, it possible to change the Rf, right?? We have mind and conciusness, something that chemical compound doesn’t have. Do you want to strong bounded the past or want to move on into the future, it’s up to you. Are you satisfied with what you have now, or you want to have more, it’s all your choice too.

Heheheh....  That’s what i think. For now, i’m still struggling with something called lazyness and the past. Want to struggling together with me to have a bigger Rf??
